Faris, Saniya, Noama and Adam develop a truss symstem for their bridge. As I write this blog, my 5 month old son, Tamyr is propped up next to me, jabbing 3 fingers into my left eye. As a science teacher, I know that it is all just science inquiry on his part...and I am the specimen. It has to start somewhere, doesn't it? Just ask my grade 3's. They have been exploring all sorts of designs and structures in science class this term. Their most recent project involves applying the discoveries that they have made in regards to the properties of materials and using it to construct a bridge that can support a mass over a span of 3 feet.
